The Front Panel Button
Depending on what state the printer is in, pressing the Front Panel Button allows
you to control printing tasks by either starting or resuming a printer function. Use
the Front Panel Button to accomplish the following tasks:

Wake Up
All lights are off while
plugged into power source.
Briefly push and release the
button.
The printer will wake up to a
ready state.
Self Test
Ready (bottom) light is on
and the other lights are off.
Briefly push and release the
button.
Prints a self-test page.
Printer Reset
The Ready (bottom) Light
will remain lit, if there are no
printer errors.
Press and hold the button
until the three Front Panel
Lights blink quickly in
succession.
The reset will return the printer to
the factory default settings. This
clears all data from memory,
including any downloaded fonts
and macros.
Resume
(from
Manual Feed)
The Data (middle) Light
blinks.
Briefly push and release the
button.
Override manual feed to print
from paper cassette.
Continue
(from
memory error)
Error (top) light blinks.
Briefly push and release the
button.
Allows the printer to recover and
continue printing the job.
Form Feed
The Data (middle) Light and
the Ready (bottom) Light
both remain on.
Briefly push and release the
button.
The remaining data in printer
memory will print.
