Supported operating systems and printer drivers for Windows The product supports the following Windows operating systems: Operating systems Supported by product Windows® XP Service Pack 2 or greater (32-bit) Windows® XP (64-bit)1 Supported by installer CD in box Windows Vista® (32-bit and 64-bit) Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) Windows Server 2003 (32-bit) Windows Server 2003 (64-bit) Windows Server 2008 (32-bit and 64bit) R2 64-bit 1 For the 64-bit versions of Windows XP, you can download the printer driver from the Internet and install it by using the Windows Add Printer Wizard. The product supports the following Windows printer drivers: ● HP PCL 6 (this is the default printer driver, installed from the in-box software CD) ● HP PCL 6 Universal Print Driver (HP UPD PCL 6) ● HP postscript emulation Universal Print Driver (HP UPD PS) ● HP PCL 5 Universal Print Driver (HP UPD PCL 5) The printer drivers include online Help that has instructions for common printing tasks and also describes the buttons, checkboxes, and drop-down lists that are in the printer driver.
