For information about general troubleshooting techniques, diagnostic tools, preventative maintenance, and a complete list of error messages, refer to the Servers Troubleshooting Guide on the Documentation CD. When the Server Does Not Start This section provides step-by-step instructions when encountering the most common problems during the initial Power-On Self-Test (POST). Every time the server boots, it must complete POST before it can load the operating system and start running software applications. If the server completes POST and attempts to load the operating system, refer to "Problems After Initial Power Up" in this appendix.
