Description For use with standard device models Spare part number 504611-xx1 Description For use with red-colored models only Spare part number 509650-xx1 Before removing the keyboard, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the device. If you are unsure whether the device is off or in Hibernation, turn the device on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the device. 3. Disconnect the power from the device by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the device. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 32). Remove the keyboard: 1. Remove the Phillips PM1.6×4.0 screw (1) and the Phillips PM1.6×6.0 screw (2) that secure the keyboard to the device. 2. 1.
Remove the Phillips PM1.6×4.0 screw
(1)
and the Phillips PM1.6×6.0 screw
(2)
that secure the
keyboard to the device.
2.
Turn the device display-side up, with the front toward you.
3.
Open the device as far as possible.
