WLAN module Description WLAN module, Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 Spare part number 793840-005 IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal and replacement. Before removing the WLAN module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 32). 5. Disconnect the battery (see Battery on page 34). Remove the WLAN module: 1. Carefully disconnect 2 antenna cables (1). 2. Remove 1 Phillips 2.0x2.5 screw (2), and then remove the WLAN module (3). NOTE: If the WLAN antenna cables are not connected to the terminals on the WLAN module, protective sleeves should be installed on the antenna connectors, as shown in the following illustration. 44 Chapter 5 Removal and replacement procedures for authorized service provider parts
