Reinstalling Windows This chapter has instructions for installing or recovering an operating system. In addition, this site contains the latest updates of software drivers, and information on configuring the OmniBook in a corporate, networked environment. You can also create a FAT32 (file allocation table, 32-bit) hard-disk configuration using either the Recovery CD or a separate product, such as PartitionMagic by PowerQuest. Using the Recovery CD to create a FAT32 hard-disk configuration necessitates erasing the hard drive and making a floppy boot disk. Note As part of your initial setup of the computer, you have one opportunity to select one of the pre-installed operating systems. See chapter 1. 2-2
