Enhancements The following enhancements were incorporated in the Storage Management Utility (SMU): • In panes that allow multiple selections, selecting one item and then holding the Shift key while selecting another item will select all items in between. Multiple groups may be selected this way. If more than 128 items are presented, selecting the check box in the upper left corner of the item list in the column heading will select the first 128 volumes only, to avoid buffer overflows. The following enhancements were incorporated in the Command Line Interface (CLI): • Added the following CLI commands to reset statistics: • reset controller-statistics • reset disk-error-statistics • reset vdisk-statistics • reset volume-statistics Fixes The following enhancements were incorporated in the firmware: • Improved host HBA access after pulling and reinserting a cable. • SMTP email alerts now works with secure SMTP servers. • Default IP addresses are set to 10.0.0.2 and 10.0.0.3. In cases where DHCP is enabled but the DHCP configuration information cannot be obtained, use these addresses to access the array. • Improved firmware upgrades. • Some features that are always enabled, such as drive spin-down, are not displayed in the license pane or in pop-up warnings. Other legacy features, such as VSS and VDS, that are permanently enabled, are properly displayed as enabled. • Improved ability to retrieve a complete log from the array. • Fixed an issue that caused multiple drives to be lost after a failover to the other controller. • Fixed an issue where a drive failure could result in a temporary offline condition in RAID 10 and RAID 50 vdisks. • Fixed an issue where creating snapshot schedules will fail if I/O is ongoing. • Fixed an issue where scheduling the maximum number of snapshots caused the volume and snapshots to disappear. • Fixed a data miscompare issue involving master volumes during a rollback operation. • Fixed the transposing of vdisk statistics. • Fixed the following SMI-S issues: • Fixed the CIM_AllocatedFromStoragePool traversal for SATA single-port drive pool. • Added full support for ExtentComposition Subprofile. • Added support for Ethernet port. • Fixed the SAS Target port LinkTechology value. • Added the proper CIM_Container association link. • Fixed the TopComputerSystem (Array) NameFormat value. • Added CIM_ClientSettingData traversal support in Masking and Mapping Subprofile. The following fixed were incorporated in both the Storage Management Utility (SMU) and the Command Line Interface (CLI): 4
