3. Shake the new cartridge six times. 4. Insert the new cartridge and push it in as far as it will go. 5. Follow the instructions in the front panel. 6. When you have replaced all cartridges that you want to replace, tap Finish and check. 7. Make sure that you comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations when disposing of ink system consumables. If a cartridge runs out of ink, the printer will automatically try to switch to the other cartridge of the same color, after which you can replace the empty cartridge without any interruption to printing. If the available ink is exhausted while printing a page, printing stops and the page is ejected. When a new cartridge is inserted, printing can resume, and the interrupted page is reprinted in full.
