Hard drive NOTE: The hard drive spare part kit includes the hard drive rubber bracket and screws. These components are included in the Hard Drive Hardware Kit, spare part number 732071-001. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 40), and then remove the following components: a. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 45). b. Service door (see Service door on page 42). c. WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 44). d. Memory module (see Memory module on page 42). e. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 51). f. Top cover (see Top cover on page 55). Remove the hard drive: 1. Disconnect the USB/audio cable (1) by flipping open the ZIF connector and lifting the cable. Remove the USB/audio cable Phillips M 2.5×3.0 screw (2) and then lift the USB/audio board (3).
