CAUTION: Do not operate the SB40c with the access panel removed. Operating the SB40c in this manner results in improper airflow and improper cooling that can lead to thermal damage. CAUTION: When performing non-hot-plug operations, you must power down the SB40c and/or the system. However, it may be necessary to leave the SB40c powered up when performing other operations, such as hot-plug installations or troubleshooting.
