Card reader board Description Card reader board NOTE: The card reader board does not include the card reader board cable. The card reader board cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 736883-001. See Cable Kit on page 21 for more Cable Kit spare part information. Spare part number 736891-001 Before removing the card reader board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the tablet. 4. Remove the back cover (see Back cover on page 34). 5. Remove the tablet battery (see Tablet battery on page 36). Remove the card reader board: 1. Release the system board ZIF connector (1) to which the card reader board cable is attached, and then disconnect the card reader board cable from the system board. 2. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (2) that secure the card reader board to the display assembly. 56 Chapter 4 Removal and replacement preliminary requirements

Before removing the card reader board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the tablet.
4.
Remove the back cover (see
Back cover
on page
34
).
5.
Remove the tablet battery (see
Tablet battery
on page
36
).
Remove the card reader board:
1.
Release the system board ZIF connector
(1)
to which the card reader board cable is attached, and
then disconnect the card reader board cable from the system board.
2.
Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws
(2)
that secure the card reader board to the
display assembly.
