Remove the system board, WLAN module antenna cables

Page 51 highlights

1. Turn off the slate. If you are unsure whether the slate is off or in Hibernation, turn the slate on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the slate by unplugging the power cord from the slate. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the slate. 4. Remove the display panel assembly (see Display panel assembly on page 20), and then remove the following components: a. Battery (see Battery on page 23) b. Solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 24) c. WWAN module (see WWAN module on page 25) d. Speakers (see Speakers on page 29) e. 3D camera board (see 3D camera board on page 34) NOTE: When replacing the system board, be sure that the heat sink is removed from the defective system board and installed on the replacement system board. See Heat sink on page 43for more information. Remove the system board: 1. Disconnect the following cables from the system board: (1) WLAN module antenna cables NOTE: The WLAN "Main/#1"antenna cable is connected to the WLAN module "Main" terminal. The WLAN "Aux/#2"antenna cable is connected to the WLAN module "Aux" terminal. (2) Left microphone ZIF connector cable (3) Card reader board ZIF connector cable (4) Display panel cable (5) POGO pin docking cable Component replacement procedures 41

NOTE:

Remove the system board:
1.
Disconnect the following cables from the system board:

WLAN module antenna cables
NOTE:
The WLAN “Main/#1”antenna cable is connected to the WLAN module “Main” terminal. The
WLAN “Aux/#2”antenna cable is connected to the WLAN module “Aux” terminal.
