Java Runtime Environment Java Runtime Environment If you have a Windows® XP, Windows NT®, or Windows 2000 operating system, use the Java™ Plug-in Version 1.3.1_04 or later for your Java Runtime Environment (v1.3.1_04). The Java Plug-in for these operating systems is located on the HP StorageWorks SAN Switch Software v3.1.1x CD. To access the Windows Java Plug-in: 1. Locate the FIRMWARE files folder on the CD. 2. In the FIRMWARE files folder, locate and double-click on the following file: j2re-1_3_1_04-windows-i586-i.exe This file is a self-extracting executable file that will install your Java Runtime Environment. If you have an HP-UX operating system, use the latest HP-UX Java Plug-in version for your processor. To access the HP-UX Java Plug-in: 1. Go to the following web site: http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/java/java2/sdkrte14/downloads/ index.html 2. Click the appropriate link for your processor. 3. Follow the instructions on the screen for downloading and installing the Java Runtime Environment. Ambient and internal temperatures HP StorageWorks fabric switches are instrumented with temperature sensors to monitor the operating characteristics of products and their environment. Ambient temperature (environmental temperature) is the recommended room temperature for the switch, through the chassis air intake. Individual components within the switch might have a higher range. The command tempShow and the Fabric Watch optional licensed feature both show the temperature for all components within the switch. Table 1 shows acceptable ambient and internal switch temperature ranges. 10 Fabric OS 3.1.1c Release Notes
