Event Notification The EMS hardware event monitor polls environmental services on the LCC and reports any changes in the status of monitored components. Depending on how the monitor is set up, you can receive messages at the console, in e-mail, in a log file, or through third-party applications. These messages are likely to be the first indication of a problem with a disk system. Events are reported for changes in temperature, voltage, and the status of replaceable components.
