Fibre address In fabric environments, the port addresses are assigned automatically. In arbitrated loop environments, set the port addresses by selecting a unique arbitrated loop physical address (AL-PA) or loop ID for each port. For specific values, refer to the HP StorageWorks XP LUN Manager User's Guide applicable to your array. Fabric and connection parameter settings Set each array port to FABRIC ON or OFF with connections of POINT-TO-POINT or FC-AL as shown in the following figures and table. HP recommends that the individual Fibre Channel paths from the NonStop host to the array be routed through separate FC switches utilizing WWN zoning.
