Enter the login and password to complete the Telnet connection. Please refer to the Brocade® Fabric OS User's Guide, Publication Number 53-0001551-01 for more information on Telnet and SNMP commands. For information regarding Web access, please see the Brocade® Web Tools User's Guide, Publication Number 53-0001375-01. Configurations Not Currently Supported • Zoning - refers to the ability of partitioning the switch into multiple logical SANs. This feature is currently not supported for SAN Backup. All hosts need to see all tape drives. Shared access to tape drives is handled by the backup application software running on each host. • Quickloop - also known as Emulated Public Loop (EPL); a feature that allows a switch to emulate a hub and provide arbitrated loop connectivity for non-public hosts or devices. Verification of Firmware Versions Using one of the access methods described above (serial connect, Telnet, or web tools for the SilkWorm 2400 Switch, or the front panel, Telnet, or web tools for the SilkWorm 2800 Switch), verify the following: • The firmware version is at least 2.1.3 • That the switch is not in Quickloop mode • That no zoning schemes are enabled Chapter 2 2-7
