HP Kayak XM600 Minitower PC Workstations System Board Switches Switch Default Function 1 OFF 2 OFF Reserved 1-5. Do Not Change Default Settings. 3 OFF 4 OFF 5 OFF 6 Disables keyboard power-on. ON Enables keyboard power-on. 7 OFF Enables normal mode. Enables the BIOS recovery mode at next boot. 8 OFF Retains CMOS memory. Clears CMOS memory at next boot. 9 OFF Enables User and System Administrator passwords. Clears the passwords at next boot. 5 10 ON Selects the chassis type. ON = Minitower. OFF = Desktop. NOTE: A limited number of early HP Kayak XM600 system boards have 20 configuration switches.
