HP 600, 800 and xw9400 Workstations power and data cabling 1. Connect the center connector of the Y-adapter power cable to the workstation optical drive power supply . 2. Connect one end of the Y-adapter power cable to the optical drive power connector 2. 3. Connect the other end of the Y-adapter power cable to the power connector on the IEEE-1394 card . NOTE: For HP 800 Workstations and HP xw9400 Workstations, do not unplug the front I/O connector from the system board. 4. For the HP 600 Workstation, connect the front IEEE1394 I/O cable to the I/O connector on the IEEE 1394 card. (Shown above in Figure 3 Connecting the IEEE 1394 cables on page 5, 2) Figure 4 Connecting the power cable Step 4-Reassembling the workstation 1. Reinstall the card support, if applicable. 2. Reinstall the side access panel. 3. Reconnect power to the workstation and all external devices. 4. Restore power to the workstation and all external devices.
