Key Product Features - Z600/Z800 Rack Kit (NN124AA): This kit features an enterprise-class three section ball-bearing extension slide. The slides are fully extendible, so the unit can slide totally out of the rack for servicing. This makes it very convenient to add memory, hard disk drives, optical disk drives, option cards, etc. without removing the computer from the rack. The Rack kit rails snap into the HP rack without using tools, however, screws are needed to attach the inner slide and mounting flanges to the computer chassis. The top mounting holes are concealed by the top plastic trim piece, which must be removed along with the rear handle to attach the inner slide and mounting flanges. The mounting is very similar to that used for the xw6x00 rack mount kit (DY663A), but with the depth adjustability of the xw8x00 rack mount kit (DY664A). Some of our customers need to rack mount into racks that are only 24 inches deep (such as those commonly used in the Broadcast industry), instead of the 29-30 inch deep racks that are commonly used in the IT industry (including HP racks), so adjustability was also an important objective. The new rack mount kit is adjustable to accommodate racks that are 24 - 30 inches deep. The rails come pre-adjusted to fit the standard HP racks for convenience.
