See the Additional Software section for possible list of applications. Quick fixes (QFEs) are also included with the image for any Microsoft operating system issues that HP identified as problems that might affect its customers. These QFEs will show up under the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel. Since most of these fixes are critical in nature, they will appear grayed out by design so they cannot be removed. Other software applications that are preloaded include optional business software. Examples of these types of applications include Norton Anti-Virus, and Altiris Deployment Agent for Windows (A Client). An HP developed application called Software Setup provides a user interface to allow installation of these optional preloaded programs.
