PICTURE-IN-PICTURE (PIP) NOTES: 1. Since ANT B source cannot be viewed as a sub-picture, only SPLIT mode PIP is possible when ANT B is selected as the main channel. 2. When ANT B is selected as a main channel, the SWAP feature is disabled. 3. When the COMPONENT VIDEO: Y-CB-CR INPUT 2 is selected as PIP, it will appear as a blank sub-picture. 4. When tuned to VIDEO:2 with COMPONENT VIDEO: (Y-CB-CR) you will not be able to access the PIP functions. 5. Only sound from main picture can be heard, unless you choose sub-picture audio from the THEATER-WIRELESS SOUND mode and use the WIRELESS OUT outputs on the rear panel. PICTURE-IN-PICTURE CONT. SURF MODE PIP This feature will automatically scan all active channel number (those set in memory) and display them as PIP sub-pictures, along the right edge of the screen. Press the PIP button a second time to remove the sub-pictures form the screen. NOTES: 1. If no buttons are pressed when in SURF mode, auto-scanning will continuously scan channels in memory. 2. If a channel is tuned during this SURF scanning, sub-pictures will be removed from the screen. 3. SURF mode PIP is allowed only when ANT A is selected as the main channel. 4. If PARENTAL CONTROL MOVIE/TV RATINGS setting is ON, PIP SURF mode will be deactivated. (2) SWAP Button If you wish to switch what is being shown on the main picture to the sub-picture, press the SWAP button. 38

NOTES:

SURF MODE PIP

display them as PIP sub-pictures, along the right edge of the screen.
Press the PIP button a
second time to remove the sub-pictures form the screen.
NOTES:

If no buttons are pressed when in SURF mode, auto-scanning will continuously scan
channels in memory.

If a channel is tuned during this SURF scanning, sub-pictures will be removed from the
screen.
3.
SURF mode PIP is allowed only when ANT A is selected as the main channel.
4. If PARENTAL CONTROL MOVIE/TV RATINGS setting is ON, PIP SURF mode will be
deactivated.
(2) SWAP Button
If you wish to switch what is being shown on the main picture to the sub-picture, press the
SWAP button.
