MAINTENANCE STORAGE When preparing the generator for storage, allow the unit to cool completely then follow the guidelines below. STORAGE TIME Less than 2 months 2 months to 1 year 1 year or more PRIOR TO STORING Drain gasoline from tank and dispose of in a suitable container according to state and local ordinances. Drain fuel from carburetor. Drain gasoline from tank and dispose of in a suitable container according to state and local ordinances. Drain fuel from the carburetor. Remove spark plug. Drain gasoline from tank and dispose of in a suitable container according to state and local ordinances. Put a tablespoon of engine oil into the spark plug cylinder. Turn the engine slowly with the pull rope to distribute the oil. Reinstall spark plug. Change engine lubricant. After removal from storage: Fill with fresh gasoline. MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE NOTE: If a separate engine manual is provided for this generator, please follow the maintenance schedule provided in the engine manual instead of the maintenance information listed below. NOTE: Maintenance should be performed more frequently when generator is used in dusty areas. When generator has exceeded the maximum figures specified in the table, maintenance should still be cycled according to the intervals of time or hours stated herein. Page 17 - English
