In order to enjoy the benefits of enhanced odor control, ensure that the Odor-Lock" pre-filters are installed in the unit. (See "Installing The Odor-Lock" Pre-filters" on page 7) For optimal performance, the filters are wrapped in plastic to keep them fresh. If you choose to use the Odor-Lock" pre-filters, replacement timing will be approximately every 3 months, depending on use. Call 1-800-477-0457 or visit www.kaz.com to order your replacement Odor-Lock" filters. SET-UP (ALL MODELS) • Select a firm, level and flat location. For proper air flow, locate the unit at least 3 feet (1 M) from the wall or furniture. • Ensure the exit grill faces away from the closest wall or furniture. • Ensure no grilles are blocked. • Plug into a grounded 120V outlet. See IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. OPERATION (HHT-215, HHT-217, HHT-219) • Press the power (0) button to turn the air purifier on (Fig. 1). Fig • The LCD screen will display Medium (4). • To change air cleaning power setting, press the up (4+) or (4). down ( 4) buttons (Fig. 2). The display will indicate the current setting: Low (vvv), Medium (4), High • For maximum cleaning power, set the unit to operate at the High (4) setting. For quieter settings, or during sleep, set the unit to Medium (4) or Low (TV2). • To turn the unit off, touch the Power ((U) button. Fig. 2 O+ av C) tr Timer Operation Once the air purifier is turned on, you can program it to turn off automatically after a set amount of time. O- • Press the Timer button (C)) - the LCD screen flashes the number "8" (Fig. 3). • • Press the timer plus (0+) or timer minus (0- ) buttons to increase or decrease the desired number of hours (1 to 18). Fig. 3 The selected number will flash for a few seconds - once it stops flashing, the air purifier is in Timer mode and will automatically shut off after the specified amount of time. (Example: If you want the unit to turn off in 6 hours, touch the Timer button, then press the timer minus (0- ) button until the O ktv number "6" is displayed.) • To turn the Timer mode off, press the Timer button twice. NOTE: Removing the ifD" Micro-filter assembly or turning the unit off will cancel the Timer function.
