If additional cleaning is necessary, wait until the upholstery is completely dry before using the tool again. Empty Dirty Water Tank when the motor sound becomes higher pitched and there is a loss in suction (see "Automatic Shut-Off"). 4 Overlap strokes by 1/2 in. to prevent streaking. Make additional strokes without pressing the trigger to remove more solution. When finished cleaning, follow "After Cleaning" and "After Using Tool" instructions on page 14. For heavily soiled areas, repeat the cleaning process. For best cleaning results, Hoover® recommends to rinse the upholstery with water only. This removes residual cleaning solution. 16
