GENERAL MAINTENANCE 5. GENERAL MAINTENANCE REPLACING BRUSHROLL When To Replace WARNING - Risk of personal injury - brushroll may suddenly restart - unplug before cleaning or servicing. When brushroll brushes are worn, it should be replaced. To check condition of brushes, move the edge of a card across bottom plate while turning brushroll (Fig. 5.6). To maintain cleaning effectiveness, replace brushroll if brushes do not touch card. 5.6 HOW TO REMOVE BRUSHROLL 5.7 Turn cleaner over and remove 5 screws as is indicated by arrows. 5.8 Remove bottom plate. 5.9 Remove brushroll.
