Belt ! CAUTION ! To reduce the risk of injury from moving parts, unplug vacuum before servicing. 4.19 The belt is located under the bottom plate of the vacuum and should be checked from time to time to be sure it is in good condition. When purchasing a new belt, ask for Stretch Belt - HOOVER® part No. 38528033. 4.21 4.23 4.23 With lettering on outside of belt, slide new belt over motor shaft (metal rod) (E), then slip around area of brushroll without bristles (F). With belt in place, pull and slide brushroll into nozzle making sure that the brushroll end caps are in the correct orientation. IMPORTANT Rotate brushroll manually to make sure belt is not twisted. 4.24 Reposition bottom plate, aligning tabs along front edge of nozzle guard with slots in nozzle. Rotate back into position.
