• Keep the cutting teeth correctly sharpened. Obey the instructions and use the recommended file gauge. A saw chain that is damaged or incorrectly sharpened increases the risk of accidents. • Keep the correct depth gauge setting. Obey the instructions and use the recommended depth gauge setting. • Make sure that the saw chain has the correct tension. If the saw chain is not tight against the guide bar, the saw chain can derail. An incorrect saw chain tension increases wear on the guide bar, saw chain and chain drive sprocket. Refer to To tension the chain on page 22. Safety instructions for the dielectric shaft WARNING: Read the warning instructions that follow before you use the product. • The product is tested to meet OSHA 1910.269(j) and ANSI B175.7 standards. • If the product is used within 11m (36 ft) of electrical hazards, it must be used by approved and qualified personnel only per OSHA 1910.269(r). • Untrained and non-professionals: Do not use within 11m (36 ft) of electrical hazards. • Clean and do the correct servicing on the dielectric shaft to help keep the electrical insulation properties. • Keep the dielectric shaft clean and dry when you do work around energized electrical power lines. Oil or dirt decreases the electrical insulation properties of the dielectric shaft. • Obey local regulations. • The tool must be clean, dry, and work correctly before use. • Follow all company procedures. • Use only approved dielectric bar oil. • Do maintenance on the cutting equipment regularly and keep it correctly lubricated. If the saw chain is not correctly lubricated, the risk of wear on the guide bar, saw chain and chain drive sprocket increases. Assembly To assemble the cutting head CAUTION: Make sure that the drive shaft inside the shaft engages with the cut-out in the cutting head. 1480 - 009 - 26.01.2022 9

Keep the cutting teeth correctly sharpened.
Obey the instructions and use the recommended
file gauge. A saw chain that is damaged
or incorrectly sharpened increases the risk of
accidents.
Keep the correct depth gauge setting. Obey the
instructions and use the recommended depth
gauge setting.
Make sure that the saw chain has the correct
tension. If the saw chain is not tight against the
guide bar, the saw chain can derail. An incorrect
saw chain tension increases wear on the guide
bar, saw chain and chain drive sprocket. Refer to
To tension the chain on page 22
.
Do maintenance on the cutting equipment
regularly and keep it correctly lubricated. If the
saw chain is not correctly lubricated, the risk of
wear on the guide bar, saw chain and chain drive
sprocket increases.
