BASIC OPERATION 4 ■ Lock function This function electronically locks all keys (except for [PTT], [VOL/SQL MONI], [LOUD MUTE], [Hi/Lo ] and [Y]/[Z]*) to prevent accidental channel changes and function access. * In the volume or squelch adjustment mode only. ➥ Push and hold [Hi/Lo tion ON and OFF. ] for 1 sec. to turn the lock func- Appears while the lock function is activated. Without this function, water may muffle 10 the sound coming from the speaker. The transceiver emits a vibrating beep when this function is activated. 11 ➥ Push and hold both [SCAN DUAL] and [Hi/Lo ]. 12 • A low beep tone sounds for 9 sec. to drain water, regardless of the volume level setting. 13 • The transceiver never accepts key operation while the AquaQuake function is activated. 14 • The AquaQuake function can not be activated when an optional 15 speaker-microphone is connected. 16 Push and hold for 1 sec. 13
