9 CONNECTIONS AND MAINTENANCE ■■MB-132 installation An optional MB-132 flush mount is available for mounting the transceiver to a flat surface, such as an instrument panel. KEEP the transceiver and microphone at least 1 meter away from your vessel's magnetic navigation compass. qqUsing the template on page 85, carefully cut a hole into the instrument panel, or wherever you plan to mount the transceiver. wwSlide the transceiver through the hole, as shown below. 1 eeAttach the clamps on either side of the transceiver with 2 2 M5 × 8 mm supplied bolts. 3 • Make sure that the clamps align parallel to the transceiver body. 4 5 6 7 8 9 rrTighten the end bolts on the clamps (clockwise) so that the 10 clamps press firmly against the inside of the instrument control panel. 11 ttTighten the locking nuts (counterclockwise) so that the 12 transceiver is securely mounted in position, as shown be- low. 13 yyConnect the antenna and power cable, then return the instrument control panel to its original place. 14 15 16 t r 79
