MP3 SELECTING DIRECTORIES (ALBUMS) BY TITLE SINGLE SESSION The following chart is an example of a Windows Explorer display that will appear on your computer monitor for a single session MP3 CD ROM with Folders/Albums. Check the added notes to help you understand the MP3 CD unit display and the playback sequence of folders/albums and tracks on a single session MP3 CD. MULTISESSION See the following page for notes regarding this diagram. Computer user does not need to finalize the CDR disc when the music is downloaded from the internet. The music can be downloaded at different times until the entire CD disc is fully loaded and can be played in the unit. ( E) CD-ROM drive ABOUTTHE DIAGRAM: • The arrow pathway shows the sequence of MP3 directory and file playback. • This example has a total of four MP3 directories. • Based on this layout, the first file will be "Blur01.mp3" and the last file will be " Twain15 .mp3". • "Skipped" denotes a directory which contains non-audio files only. These cannot be detected or played on this player. When an album contains mixed format files, the nonMP3 files will be skipped. EN-11 SPECIAL FUNCTIONS Auto Power Off SPECIAL FUNCTIONS When the unit is stopped (standby mode) for approximately 60 seconds, the Auto Power Off function will be activated and turn off automatically. Anti-shock Function • If in use, the player is likely to receive shocks or vibrations (i.e. while walking or in a moving vehicle). As soon as the PLAY/PAUSE button is pressed, the ESP function is automatically activated to allow uninterrupted playback. "ESP" will flash in the display. When "ESP" stops flashing, the data buffer is full. • Should the player receive shocks for more than 180 seconds continuously in CD playback or 480 seconds in MP3 playback, the sound can mute for a very short while and will resume once the player has stabilized from the shock. • To disable ANTI-SHOCK Function, press ESP button once. Notes: • When using the Anti-shock function, the disc will rotate faster than normal playback and memory is active. Only use the ANTI-SHOCK function when necessary to preserve the battery life. • The Anti-shock function will not correct the errors arising from the use of defective, scratched or dirty discs. • IMPORTANT! DuringMP3 playback, the ANTI-SHOCK function is always ONand this function cannot be deactivated. RADIO OPERATION 1.Set the FUNCTION switch to tuner for RADIO mode, press POWER ON ( ) key. 2.Press the MODE button key to select FM MONO or FM STEREO (FM Band only). 3.To turn the radio off press POWER OFF ( ) key. Stereo/Mono When listening to a radio station broadcasting in FM stereo, press the MODE button to select the ON mode.The STEREO indicator will show in the display if the FM stereo signal is weak. Push the MODE button to select the OFF mode (The station will be received in mono but the background noise will be reduced ). EN-12

Auto Power Off
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS

Anti-shockFunction

1.Set the FUNCTION switchto tuner for RADIO mode, press POWER ON (
) key.
2.Press the MODE button key to select FM MONO or FM STEREO (FM Band only).
3.To turn the radio off pressPOWER OFF (
) key.
Stereo/Mono
When listening to a radio station broadcasting in FM stereo, press the MODE button to select
the ON mode.The STEREO indicator will show in the display if the FM stereo signal is weak.
Push the MODE button to select the OFF mode (The station will be received in mono but the
background noise will be reduced ).
