Portable Air Conditioner STEP 3: Preparing the window frame and sash Note: • If you are installing your air conditioner in a window that opens vertically (a hung window), install the slides horizontally. • If you are installing your air conditioner in a window that opens horizontally (a sliding window), install the slides vertically. You need Adhesive foam seal A (4) Adhesive foam seal B (2) Non-adhesive foam seal C (2) Security bracket and screws (optional) (1) Scissors or knife (not included) Phillips screwdriver (not included) 1 Cut the adhesive foam seals A and B to fit the window frame and sash. 2 Remove the seal backings, then press the adhesive sides onto the frame and sash.
