NS-C3111 Car Stereo CD/MP3 Player Troubleshooting Problem No sound. All or part of a disc will not play. Cause Solution The power is turned off. Press the PWR button to turn the power on. Playback is paused. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to resume disc playback. Volume is set too low. Press the VOL button to increase the volume. Sound is muted. Press the MUTE button to unmute the sound. The disc is inserted incorrectly. Make sure that the disc is placed in the slot with the label side up. The disc is scratched. Try another disc. The disc is dirty. Clean the disc. For more information, see "Cleaning discs" on page 16. The disc is warped. Try another disc. Maintaining Cleaning the exterior To clean the exterior • Use a soft cloth dampened with only luke-warm water. Caution Make sure that you do not drip water into your radio. Do not use solvents, such as benzene, because they may damage the finish. Caring for discs A dirty, scratched, or warped disc may cause skipping or noise. Cleaning the exterior
To clean the exterior
Use a soft cloth dampened with only luke-warm water.
Caring for discs
A dirty, scratched, or warped disc may cause skipping or noise.
To care for discs:
Hold discs by their edges.
Never touch the shiny sides of discs.
Do not bend discs.
