Removing 8x3.5'' Hot-swap Backplane 1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. 2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable. 3. Remove the chassis cover. For instructions, see "Removing the Chassis Cover". 4. Remove the front bezel if it is installed. For instructions, see "Removing the Front Bezel (Pedestal Only)". 5. Remove the 8x3.5'' Hot-swap Hard drives cage. For instructions, see "Removing 8x3.5'' Hot-swap Hard Drive Cage Assembly". 6. Remove all hot-swap drive carriers, regardless of whether or not a drive is installed in the carrier. 7. Remove the screws on the backplane (see letter A). 8. Removing 8x3.5'' Hot-swap Backplane
1.
Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book.
2.
Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.
3.
Remove the chassis cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Chassis Cover”.
4.
Remove the front bezel if it is installed. For

5.
Remove the 8x3.5'' Hot-swap Hard drives cage. F

6.
Remove all hot-swap drive carriers, regardless of whether or not a drive is installed in the carrier.
