System Recovery Jumpers Server System Features Jumper Name Jumper Purpose If pins 2-3 are selected, the serial-A configuration is in Data Carrier A Serial A Jumper (J3A2) Detect (DCD) mode. These pins should be selected on 1-2 for normal system operation. If pins 2-3 are selected, the system can only boot from EFI-bootable recovery media with the recovery BIOS image. The main system B BIOS Recover (J6C4) BIOS will not boot. These pins should be selected on 1-2 for normal system operation. If pins 2-3 are selected, the ME Force Update Mode is enabled. C ME Force Update (J6C5) These pins should be selected on 1-2 for normal system operation. If pins 2-3 are selected, administrator and user passwords are cleared D Password Clear (J6C6) within five to ten seconds after the system is powered on. These pins should be selected on 1-2 for normal system operation. If pins 2-3 are selected, the BIOS settings are cleared on the next E BIOS Default (J6D1) reset. These pins should be selected on 1-2 for normal system operation. If pins 2-3 are selected, the Integrated BMC Force Update Mode is F BMC Force Update (J2D1) enabled.
