System Recovery Jumpers Server System Features Jumper Name Jumper Purpose If pins 2-3 are selected, the serial-A configuration is in Data Carrier A Serial A Jumper (J3A2) Detect (DCD) mode. These pins should be selected on 1-2 for normal system operation. If pins 2-3 are selected, the system can only boot from EFI-bootable recovery media with the recovery BIOS image.
