Chapter 5 - Troubleshooting and Maintaining the CV30 Troubleshooting the CV30 If you send the CV30 in for service, it is your responsibility to save the computer data and configuration. Intermec is responsible only for ensuring that the hardware matches the original configuration when repairing or replacing the computer. Problems While Operating the CV30 Problem Solution You press Power and nothing happens. Try these possible solutions in order: • Make sure the brightness is not set all the way to the darkest or lightest setting. Press and hold the Brightness button until you reach the desired contrast level. • Make sure the backlight is on by pressing the Brightness button. • Make sure you are connected to a power supply. • Reset the CV30. For help, see "Resetting the CV30" on page 9. The Battery light is on. The backup battery needs to be replaced immediately. The CV30 appears to be locked Try these possible solutions in order: up and you cannot enter data. • Press Power to turn off the CV30 and then turn it back on. • Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds to reset the CV30. • Clean boot the CV30. Troubleshooting the CV30
If you send the CV30 in for service, it is your responsibility to
save the computer data and configuration. Intermec is
responsible only for ensuring that the hardware matches the
original configuration when repairing or replacing the computer.
Problems While Operating the CV30
Problem
Solution
You press Power and nothing
happens.
Try these possible solutions in order:
Make sure the brightness is not set all the way to the
darkest or lightest setting. Press and hold the
Brightness
button until you reach the desired contrast level.
Make sure the backlight is on by pressing the
Brightness
button.
Make sure you are connected to a power supply.
Reset the CV30. For help, see
“Resetting the CV30” on
page 9
.
The Battery light is on.
The backup battery needs to be replaced immediately.
The CV30 appears to be locked
up and you cannot enter data.
Try these possible solutions in order:
