5.3 Replacing the Flip-Back Armrest 1. Unlock the flip-back armrests by pressing and holding down the armrest release button A at the front of the armrest. 2. Pull the front of the swing-back arm B straight up/out of the arm socket C and towards the rear of the wheelchair. 3. Remove the hex head screw D two coved washers E and locknut F securing the existing armrest G to the wheelchair frame H (Detail "A"). 4. Remove the existing armrest from frame. 5. Inspect rear tube of new armrest to ensure insert is properly installed with mounting holes aligned. 6. If not properly aligned, rotate the insert using a flat screwdriver to align the mounting holes. 7. Using the hex screw, spacer and locknut, secure the EXISTING armrest and insert to the wheelchair frame. Securely tighten the hex screw and locknut. Replacing the Flip-Back Armrest
1.
Unlock the flip-back armrests by pressing and holding down the
armrest release button

REMOVING THE BACK CANES — Reverse this procedure.
ADJUSTING THE BACK CANE HEIGHT (VERANDA 4000
ONLY)— Remove the threaded handle and hex screw
securing the back cane to the wheelchair frame before
performing STEP 1.
