9 Front Casters 9 FRONT CASTERS ƽ WARNING After any adjustments, repair or service and before use, make sure all attaching hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may occur. 9.1 Installing/Replacing Six/Eight Inch Front Casters/Forks ƽ WARNING Make sure both fork/caster assemblies are the same size before using the wheelchair, otherwise injury may occur.  This procedure can be performed if replacing the exact same size front caster. 1. Remove the dust cover. 2. Remove the locknut and nylon washer that secures the fork to the caster headtube. 3. Drop the fork assembly out of the caster headtube.  If caster tire/tube replacement is desired, refer to Replacing/Repairing Caster Tire/Tube on page 34. 4. Slide the new fork assembly into the caster headtube. 5. Reassemble by reversing STEPS 1-3. 6. Repeat STEPS 1-6 for the opposite fork assembly. 7. Adjust the forks. Refer to Adjusting Forks on page 52. Installing/Replacing Six/Eight Inch Front Casters/Forks
1.
Remove the dust cover.
2.
Remove the locknut and nylon washer that secures the fork to the
caster headtube.
3.
Drop the fork assembly out of the caster headtube.
4.
Slide the new fork assembly into the caster headtube.
5.
Reassemble by reversing STEPS 1-3.
6.
Repeat STEPS 1-6 for the opposite fork assembly.
7.
Adjust the forks. Refer to Adjusting Forks
on page 52.
