The indicated remaining time is only an estimate. To reset the time counter, press C. RESET on the Remote. The counter reading becomes "0:00:00". It is also reset when a tape is inserted. Each time you press the button, the front display panel shows the time counter, tape remaining time and the clock time in sequence. Time Counter Tape Remaining Time Clock Time B Checking tape position The tape position indicator appears on screen in the following cases: ● When you change the VCR operation mode from the B +++ E stop mode to fast forward or rewind mode. ● When you perform an Index COUNT 0:33:27 Search (੬ pg. 17) or Instant Review (੬ pg. 18). The position of " " in relation to "B" (Beginning) or "E" (End) shows you where you are on the tape. NOTES: ● "ON SCREEN (PLAY)" must be set to "ON", or the indicator will not appear (੬ pg. 37, 39). ● It may take a few seconds for the tape position indicator to be displayed. C Playing back tape repeatedly - Repeat Play You can play back a tape repeatedly. While playing back a tape, press and hold PLAY ( 3 ) for more than 5 seconds. The play indicator ( # ) on the front display panel starts flashing slowly, and a tape will be played back repeatedly. To stop playback, press STOP ( 7 ) on the Remote or STOP/EJECT ( 7 / 0 ) on the front panel. ● To select the returning point (recording end or tape end), see "RETURN POINT" on page 41. To prohibit operations during Repeat Play (Mode Lock) Press and hold OK on the Remote for more than 5 seconds. " " and " " light up on the front display panel (੬ pg. 60). The entire recording or entire tape will be played back repeatedly without any interruption. To cancel Mode Lock, press and hold OK on the Remote again for more than 5 seconds. ● When OK is pressed to set Mode Lock, the on-screen display appears and the time counter remains on the TV screen. If the time counter is not necessary, set "ON SCREEN (PLAY)" to "OFF" ( ੬ pg. 37, 39).

Checking tape position
The tape position indicator
appears on screen in the
following cases:
When you change the VCR
operation mode from the
stop mode to fast forward or
rewind mode.
When you perform an Index

pg. 18).
The position of “
” in relation to “B” (Beginning) or “E”
(End) shows you where you are on the tape.
NOTES:
"ON SCREEN (PLAY)" must be set to “ON”, or the indicator

It may take a few seconds for the tape position indicator to be
displayed.
Playing back tape repeatedly
Repeat Play
You can play back a tape repeatedly.
While playing back a tape, press and hold PLAY (

for more than 5 seconds.
The play indicator (

) on the front display panel starts
flashing slowly, and a tape will be played back
repeatedly.
To stop playback,
press
STOP (

on the Remote or
