Setting Picture Sharpness Use the Sharpness setting to highlight or blend the edges of the subject in pictures. 1 Set the Mode dial to a Capture setting (P, 2.8, 5.6, or 8). 2 Press the Menu button to display the Capture Menu screen. 3 Press a / button until the icon is highlighted. 4 Press OK to display the Sharpness screen. 5 Press a / button to highlight the m Sharpness setting you want to use. SHARP-increases contrast on the edges of the image. Ideal when you want to improve the clarity of an image, or if you later may want to crop or cut out specific m areas in the picture. STANDARD (default)-use when no special effect is needed. Ideal for everyday m pictures. SOFT-softens the edges of the image, creating a "soft focus" effect. 6 Press OK to accept the changes and return to the Menu screen. 7 Press Menu to exit the Menu screen. This setting remains until you change it. 38
