Taking pictures and videos Setting Icon Picture Quality Choose a picture resolution. This setting remains until you change it. Video Quality Choose a video resolution. This setting remains until you change it. White Balance Choose your lighting condition. This setting remains until you change modes or turn off the camera. ISO Speed Control the camera's sensitivity to light. This setting remains until you change modes or turn off the camera. Options (unavailable as noted) Best -(4 MP) for printing up to 20 x 30 in. (50 x 76 cm). Best (3:2) -(3.5 MP) ideal for printing 4 x 6 in. (10 x 15 cm) prints without cropping. Also for printing up to 20 x 30 in. (50 x 76 cm); some cropping may result. Better -(2.1 MP) for printing up to 8 x 10 in. (20 x 25 cm). Good -(1.1 MP) for emailing, Internet, or screen display. Best (640 x 480) - video plays in a 640 x 480 pixel window. Good (320 x 240) -video plays in a 320 x 240 pixel window. Auto (default)-automatically corrects white balance. Ideal for general picture taking. Daylight-for pictures in natural lighting. Tungsten-corrects the orange cast of household light bulbs. Ideal for indoor pictures under tungsten or halogen lighting without flash. Fluorescent-corrects the green cast of fluorescent lighting. Ideal for indoor pictures under fluorescent lighting without flash. Unavailable in Video and Scene modes (exception-available in Landscape). Auto (default), 80, 100, 200, 400, 800 (Good)* Choose a lower ISO setting in brightly lit scenes; use a higher ISO setting for low-light scenes. * At ISO 800, picture quality is forced to Good.
