JETVARNISH 3DS User Manual Problem 5: Varnish is spread in places such as if it had been in contact with something during printing. Explanation: The substrate is pressed against the printing belt, the printheads are at 1.5mm from the substrate; if the latter is not flat, there may be collision between the printheads and the printing substrate. CAUTION: Printheads are consumables, their price is positively higher than the job to be printed. If the printing substrate is not flat, it is more judicious to proceed with its printing process than risking damaging one or more printheads. Solution: 1- Please check the printing substrate thickness entered in the 3DS Hub Manager; it should correspond to that of the printing substrate used. 2- Check that the side vacuum handle corresponds to the printing substrate width. 3- Increase the printing substrate vacuum under the inkjet printheads. 4- Run inkjet printhead wiping. 5- Change printing substrate if the phenomenon persists.
