Upgrading the Fiery® CS IC-310/Fiery® CS IC308/Fiery® ES IC-415 to version 2.1 Overview This document describes how to upgrade the Fiery CS IC-310/Fiery CS IC-308/Fiery ES IC415 to system software, version 2.1, with the system software patch. After upgrading to v2.1, you must download and install Fiery Extended Applications (FEA) Package 4.3 to use the latest version of the user software. For complete instructions about how to download and install FEA 4.3, see the Installation Guide for Fiery Command WorkStation 5.7 with Fiery Extended Applications 4.3 at help.efi.com/fea. Notify the site administrator that some archived jobs may no longer print after you install the system software patch. NOTE: The term "Fiery Color Server" is used in this document to refer to the Fiery CS IC310/Fiery CS IC-308/Fiery ES IC-415. This document assumes that you have already downloaded and extracted the system patch zip file to an available folder on the Fiery Color Server. The zip file contains the system software patch file and this document. Before upgrading to version 2.1 Before installing the system software patch, the Fiery Color Server must be version 2.0. If the Fiery Color Server has not been upgraded to v2.0, refer to the instructions on installing system software and user software from the Fiery Color Server v2.0. • For the Fiery CS IC-310, refer to the Upgrading the Fiery® CS IC-310 to system software version 2.0 document (part number: 45135197). • For the Fiery CS IC-308, refer to the Upgrading the Fiery® CS IC-308 to system software version 2.0 document (part number: 45133188). • For the Fiery ES IC-415, refer to the Addendum to the Fiery® ES IC-415 Service Guide (part number: 45133186). About installing the system software patch Before using the Fiery Color Server, be sure to install the system software patch onto the Fiery Color Server as described in this document. If you do not install the system software patch, system problems may occur. NOTE: If system software is reinstalled in the future, the system software patch is deleted. The system software patch must be reinstalled following the installation of system software.
