2 Install the system software patch on the Fiery CS If you are upgrading the Fiery CS, you need to install the IC-308_IC-310v2.1R_Upgrade.exe file. TO INSTALL THE SYSTEM SOFTWARE PATCH 1 Print the Configuration pages for the Fiery CS. 2 Make sure that the Fiery CS Control Panel reads "Idle." 3 Temporarily remove any USB storage devices or USB dongles that may be attached to the Fiery CS. 4 Locate the IC-308_IC-310v2.1R_Upgrade.exe file that you have extracted from the zip file. 5 Double-click the IC-308_IC-310v2.1R_Upgrade.exe file. The Fiery Patch Downloader application starts. 6 Click Next. The License Agreement window appears. 7 Click Accept. The Logon dialog box appears. Type the required information. • User: admin • Password: Fiery.1 The default password for the Fiery CS is Fiery.1 when it is shipped. If the default password does not work, the customer probably changed the password. Obtain the new password from the customer and type it in the Password field. If you are using the default password, type Fiery.1 exactly. The password is case sensitive; for example, fiery.1 will not work. • Hostname: Type the IP address of the Fiery CS. Locate the IP address on the Configuration page that you printed earlier. 8 Click Connect. The Server Information window appears. 9 Click Download. The IC-308_IC-310v2.1R_Upgrade.exe file is extracted and downloaded. 10 Click Next when the file extraction is complete. 11 Select Restart Fiery Server, and then click Finish. Wait for the Fiery CS to reboot completely and the Fiery CS Control Panel to reach Idle. 12 Print the Configuration pages. Verify that the System Updates Log section lists "IC-308_IC-310v2.1R_Upgrade.exe." 13 Reinstall any USB storage devices or USB dongles that you may have removed earlier.
