Driver Installation Guide This manual describes how to install drivers and software to use this machine. Contents of the CD-ROM This section describes the CD-ROM supplied with this machine. CD-ROM Menu The following settings and services are available using the CD-ROM: ❖ Install Software Installs drivers and utilities. ❖ Remove Software Removes installed drivers and utilities. ❖ Documentation Displays a list of the documentation on this CD-ROM. ❖ Software Release Notes Provides the release notes for the software available on this CD-ROM. ❖ Select Language Changes the language of the menu and the installed software. Drivers for This Machine Operations require installing drivers appropriate to your operating system. The following drivers are included on the CD-ROM provided with this machine. ❖ PCL 5/6 printer driver This printer driver allows the computer to communicate with the printer via a printer language. ❖ PS printer driver PS printer driver allows the computer to communicate with the printer using a printer language. ❖ Scanner driver To use the machine as a TWAIN or WIA scanner, you must install the scanner driver. ❖ Fax driver The fax driver allows you to send a document directly from a computer through the machine to another fax machine, without printing the document. 1
