Connecting the Ethernet Cable Unlike regular desktop hard drives, the d2 Network is accessible when attached to your network and does not need to connect directly to your computer (Fig. 05). 1. Turn the drive on. See 2.1. Turning On the d2 Network. 2. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of the LaCie d2 Network. 3. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable into an available Ethernet port on your router. Allow a few moments for your network to recognize the drive (it may take up to 3 minutes on some networks). 2.2. Connecting the Ethernet Cable
Unlike regular desktop hard drives, the d2 Network is accessible
when attached to your network and does not need to connect di-
rectly to your computer (

).
1. Turn the drive on. See

2. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of
the LaCie d2 Network.
3. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable into an available
