11: LAN Manager Host Setup The EZWebCon configuration software is the easiest way to configure the Server. See your Installation Guide for more information on using the EZWebCon software. Note: The Server must be added as a Windows NT printer before it can accept print jobs from a Windows NT host. An Server servicing LAN Manager print queues must have the LAN Manager protocol enabled (the default). To verify that LAN Manager is enabled, enter the List Protocols command. 11.1 Printing Methods Command line users can configure the Server to use the Berkeley remote LPR software. See LPR on Windows NT 3.5.1 (and later) on page 7-4 for LPR configuration instructions. The following sections cover DLC and NetBIOS protocol configuration for Windows NT hosts. Note: There are also third-party LPR implementations; contact Lantronix Technical Support for more information. 11.1.1 DLC To use the DLC protocol, you must associate the DLC characteristic with a service. If the printer driver isn't already installed, you will need to install it from your Windows NT installation disks.
