9: Administration SNMP Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) settings may be viewed and configured in this section. Table 9-81 SNMP Settings SNMP Settings SNMP Agent State Port Version Read Community Write Community System MIB System Contact System Name System Description System Location MIB Lantronix MIB File MIB File SNMP Traps Primary Destination Primary Destination Port Secondary Destination Secondary Destination Port Description Select to enable or disable the SNMP agent state. Set the port of the SNMP agent. Select the SNMP version used by the SNMP agent. Specify the read community used by the agent (defaults to public community). Specify the write community used by the agent (defaults to private community). Specify the system contact. Update the system name, as necessary. The default system name is SGX5150. Update the system description, as necessary. The default system information includes the manufacturer name, model name, version and the serial number of the SGX 5150 gateway. Specify a system location for the SNMP setting. Click the Lantronix MIB file name to save and load it into the MIB browser and trap receiver. This is the base MIB file for Lantronix products. Load or compile this file first. Click the MIB file name to save and load it into the MIB browser and trap receiver. This is the product specific MIB file. Load or compile this after the Lantronix MIB File. Enter the Primary Destination. Note: SNMP Traps fields become available when SNMP Agent State is enabled. Enter the Primary Destination port. Note: SNMP Traps fields become available when SNMP Agent State is enabled. Enter the Secondary Destination. Note: SNMP Traps fields become available when SNMP Agent State is enabled. Enter the Secondary Destination port. Note: SNMP Traps fields become available when SNMP Agent State is enabled. To Configure SNMP Settings Using Web Manager  To configure SNMP, on the Administration page, click SNMP in the menu.
