Step 3. Disconnect all cables attached to the computer. This includes power cords, input/output (I/O) cables, and any other cables that are connected to the computer. Refer to "Left and right view" and "Rear view" for help with locating the various connectors. Step 4. Remove the stand base. Refer to "Removing the stand base". Step 5. Remove the foot cover. Disconnect the following cables from connectors on the LED panel: • LVDS cable • Converter cable Step 14. Remove the twelve screws that secure the chassis to the front bezel. Step 15. Remove the four screws that secure the LED panel to the chassis. Step 16. Lift up the chassis to separate the LED panel from the chassis. Step 17. To install the new the LED panel: a. Line up the chassis with new LED panel, and then place it into position. b. Secure the LED panel to the chassis with the four screws. c. Connect the converter cable to the new LED panel. d. Line up the chassis and new LED panel with the front bezel, and then place it into position. e. Secure the chassis to the front bezel with the twelve screws. Chapter 7. Replacing hardware 45

Step 16. Lift up the chassis to separate the LED panel from the chassis.
Step 17. To install the new the LED panel:
a. Line up the chassis with new LED panel, and then place it into position.
b. Secure the LED panel to the chassis with the four screws.
c. Connect the converter cable to the new LED panel.
d. Line up the chassis and new LED panel with the front bezel, and then place it into position.
e. Secure the chassis to the front bezel with the twelve screws.
