Replacing the camera

DANGER Disconnect the battery power cable from the connector on the motherboard before proceeding replacing any parts to avoid electric shock! Step 6. Replacing the system fan. Refer to "Replacing the system fan". Step 7. Remove the heat-sink. Refer to "Replacing the heat-sink". Step 8. Remove the Wi-Fi card. Refer to "Replacing the Wi-Fi card". Step 9. Remove all the cables connected to the motherboard. Step 10. Remove the five screws that secure the motherboard to the rear cover and lift up the motherboard to remove it. Step 11. To install the new motherboard: a. Line up the holes on the new motherboard with the mounting holes on the rear cover and secure the new motherboard with the five screws. b. Attach the heat-sink, Wi-Fi card, and system fan to the new motherboard. c. Connect all the cables to the new motherboard. DANGER Connect the battery cable to the connector on the motherboard lastly to avoid electric shock! Step 12. Reattach the rear cover and secure it with the screw. Replacing the camera Note: Turn off the computer and wait 3 to 5 minutes to let it cool down before removing the rear cover. To replace the camera: Step 1. Remove any media (disks, CDs, DVDs, or memory cards) from the drives, shut down the operating system, and turn off the computer and all attached devices. Step 2. Step 6.

Step 7.

Step 8.

Step 9.
Remove all the cables connected to the motherboard.
Step 10. Remove the five screws that secure the motherboard to the rear cover and lift up the motherboard
to remove it.
Step 11. To install the new motherboard:
a.

secure the new motherboard with the five screws.
b.
Attach the heat-sink, Wi-Fi card, and system fan to the new motherboard.
c.
Connect all the cables to the new motherboard.

Step 12. Reattach the rear cover and secure it with the screw.
Replacing the camera
Note:
Turn off the computer and wait 3 to 5 minutes to let it cool down before removing the rear cover.
To replace the camera:
Step 1.
