Replacing the diskette drive

Replacing the diskette drive 1. Remove the cover. See "Removing the cover" on page 121. 2. Remove the drive bay assembly. See "Removing and replacing the drive bay assembly" on page 127. 3. Remove the screws at the bottom of the diskette drive that secure the drive to the drive bay assembly. 4. Slide the diskette drive out of the drive bay assembly. 5. Slide the new drive into the bay until the screws holes at the bottom of the drive are aligned and install the screws that secure the drive to the drive bay assembly. 6. Reinstall the drive bay assembly. See "Removing and replacing the drive bay assembly" on page 127. 7. Go to "Completing the FRU replacement" on page 154. 152 Hardware Maintenance Manual
